CSR

DUCAT AFRICA is dedicated to upholding global best practices and conducting its business with integrity and transparency. Our policies and procedures are designed to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to bribery, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-terrorism financing (ATF), and other related practices. As a global network operating across multiple jurisdictions, we have chosen to implement global best practices to ensure compliance with US, EU, Swiss, British, as well as South African legislation, instead of engaging in regulatory arbitrage.

We believe that effective management of regulatory and reputational risks is essential to ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of our business. Therefore, we are continuously reviewing and updating our policies and procedures to identify and respond to new risks as they emerge. By prioritizing risk management alongside ethical business practices, we can maintain the trust and confidence of our stakeholders, delivering value to our customers and partners.

DUCAT AFRICA has never used external agents or made facilitation payments. All employees are required to undergo educational training to understand the scope of bribery and inducement payments and the consequences of such activities. All expenses, gifts, or benefits in kind paid to third parties, such as entertainment, must be approved by a line manager if the cash equivalent value exceeds nationally adjusted thresholds for either public servants or third-party employees. All DUCAT AFRICA employees are aware of our zero tolerance policy to corruption, with immediate dismissal and reporting to the relevant criminal agency being the consequences of being found engaging in such activities. An independent hotline is available to all staff to report any suspected abuse.

Ducat Capital SA (CH) Limited has issued its Modern Slavery Act Statement 2022, in accordance with the scope of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act of 2015. The policy can be requested from Ducat Capital.

Our policies and practices ensure that we maintain a culture of compliance and uphold the highest ethical standards in all of our business dealings. We receive regular updates on the changing regulatory environment from our panel law firms in South Africa, London, and Washington, which are then communicated to the company via internal counsel.
