CEO Ducat Africa
Pascal is the Group CEO of DUCAT Africa. Starting as an Auditor at Moore Stephens, he then he covered the Energy sector at Société Générale ( Paris, Geneva) before joining Trafigura. There he oversaw investment deal origination & sourcing, due diligence and Joint Venture operations in the Oil & Gas upstream segment for the group and its Asset Management Branch ‘Galena’. He continues to sit on the boards of a number of energy and trading concerns. He has a Masters in Economics and Finance from University of Geneva.

Managing Director Ducat Energy, Ducat Retail
Eden is the Managing Director of Ducat Energy Trading and Ducat Retail in addition to having the responsibility for the trading book of the firm. Eden’s educational and technical skills include a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Quantitative Methods and Business Management from UNISA, and Trading Oil on International Markets from Churchill College, Cambridge University. Eden has been in the Oil and Energy industry for over 20 years, with past experience working as both an operator and trader in London, Geneva, Singapore and Dubai for OMV, Addax and Arcadia.

Managing Director Ducat Logistics
Rory is the Managing Director of Ducat Logistics, the warehousing and logistics business in Southern Africa. He is an experienced logistics professional with a history of working in the mining, energy and commodities supply chain sector in Africa. He is also a skilled Commercial Director, with over 15 years experience in Project Management, Operations and Supply-Chain Management. He has previously worked in leadership roles at Beacon Point Logistics, Future Focus Zimbabwe and DSV. Rory has an interest in energy and sustainability and also worked with City Industrial Property Fund on their energy and sustainability strategy. He is a graduate of the University of KwaZulu Natal with a B.Comm in Finance and Economics

Managing Director Ducat LPG
Thiru Govender heads DUCAT LPG, including our branded "Ubuntu: Giving Power to Mzansi" product line. He is an experienced petroleum and
energy industry professional having worked for over 30 years in the sector in South Africa, primarily at Engen. He has held various
management roles, covering Refinery Planning, Crude Planning, Scheduling and Operations. Before leaving Engen, he was the Supply Manager
covering Supply Chain / Logistics, Infrastructure Planning and Contract Negotiations. Thiru has a Certificate in Tanker Ownership, Chartering
and Operations from Oxford Princeton {The College of Petroleum and Energy Studies {UK) and Princeton Energy Programme {Princeton, New
Jersey, USA)) and holds a NQF 8 Certification from the Wits Business School for Leadership in Oil and Energy.

Head Fuel Trading
Rodney has been in the oil industry for more than 49 years. In 1976 he joined BP and left BP in 2004 as the Trading Manager. Rodney’s roles in BP covered accounting, operations, supply and trading. Responsibilities included import and export of petroleum products, managing traders and trading operators as well as coordinating joint imports of crude and petroleum products with the major Oil Companies in South Africa. In 2004 Rodney joined Independent Petroleum Group (IPG) of Kuwait and established a trading office for IPG in South Africa. In 2011 he joined Kepu Trading as Trading and Commercial Manager and his role and responsibilities covered bunkering, sales to wholesalers, resellers, mines and industrial consumers.

Senior Operations Manager
Chene’ du Plessis is an operations and logistics professional with over 15 years of experience in the construction, production and bulk logistics sectors. Chene’ joined DUCAT Logistics as Senior Operations Manager, where she manages and directs our warehousing, storage, transport, and client service divisions. Before joining DUCAT, Chene’ held multiple leadership positions including: Operations and production Manager at Strongbuild Cement, where she managed over 700 MT of bulk product operations daily, led multi-site expansions and doubled the company’s workforce. She was responsible for coordinating supercargo operations for the discharge of full and partial supramaxes across multiple ports.

Operations Director
Pierre started his career as a wet tanker operator at Unical Tankers, subsequently Unicorn Tankers (Grinrod) covering shipping services of petroleum products across Africa, with a customer base covering BP, Shell, Chevron, Engen, Total, SASOL and PetroSa. He then moved to Calulo Shipping as a Tanker broker. He has subsequently covered inland and port logistics for liquid and product cargoes. Pierre has overall responsibility for operations across the business. He is a graduate of Varsity College.

FD Ducat Energy Trading
Renata Giardino is part of the Treasury team; with responsibility for our systems architecture ( ASPECT, Dynamics, in-house risk management ) and treasury functions. She is a finance and accounting professional with over 14 years experience in the petroleum and downstream energy sector in Southern Africa. Her previous roles have been, an Accountant and HR Payroll Administrator at OTI Petro Smart (Pty) Ltd and Finance & Administration Manager at FJ Intens International. She is a graduate of Senior University State of Wyoming, where she obtained a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and is also a graduate of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where she obtained a ND in Company Administration.

HR Ducat Africa
Michelle Lehmann serves as the dedicated Human Resources and Labour Consultant for DUCAT Africa. Michelle began her career as a Psychometrist after earning an Honors degree in Clinical Psychology and transitioned into Human Resources and Labour Consulting. She has over 35 years of experience working and leading in-house HR teams and in consultant functions, across a number of industries; including financial and insurance services (Sanlam), medical aidadministration (MX-Health), manufacturing (Coca-Cola), retail (Pick n Pay), and the non-profit sector.

Ducat Logistics
Nico is the Finance Director of Ducat Logistics. An experienced finance and treasury professional, he worked for 5 years in the transport division for a leading international travel company before working for a Southern African energy distributor since 2020. Nico is a registered accountant and tax practioner in South Africa and a graduate of Northlink College – UNISA.

Ducat Africa Office Manager, Corporate Secretary
Philippa runs the chancery and records department and coordinates the administrative functions across DUCAT Africa. She previously worked as Property Portfolio Manager, Office Manager and as an Executive Assistant.
